About
Pick AI Daily is one person opening one AI tool every weekday, using it for a real task, and writing down what happened.
The problem this solves
Search "best AI writing tool" and you'll get a few hundred pages that are functionally identical. Someone read the product's homepage, reworded the feature list, gave it 4.5 stars, and attached an affiliate link. Nobody logged in. Nobody hit the rate limit. Nobody found out that the export is broken on the free plan.
That's not a review. That's a rewritten press release with a commission attached.
How a pick works
Every weekday, one tool gets:
- A real task. Not a demo prompt — something I'd actually need done that day.
- At least twenty minutes. Enough to get past the onboarding and hit the part that annoys you.
- A verdict in plain language. Worth it, watch it, or skip it. No 4.5-star inflation where everything is great.
- The specific failure. The thing the marketing page doesn't mention. This is the part you're actually here for.
What I won't do
- Take money to change a verdict. Sponsored slots, if they ever exist, will be labelled as ads and sit outside the pick.
- Review a tool I haven't opened.
- Publish a "Top 50" list.
- Pretend a tool is bad for engagement. Some of them are good. Those get said too.
Who's behind it
One person, no team, no VC. If a pick is wrong, tell me and I'll correct it in public.
